You may not have thought of it, but your body is like an intelligent machine that constantly adjusts to prevailing conditions and circumstances. The reason you are unable to lose and maintain lost weight by starving yourself (using a low calorie diet) is because your body detects any major drop in calories and its metabolism automatically adjust to burning fewer calories each day.
Look at what I am saying like this: If you are gaining weight by eating 3,500 calories per day your metabolism will be used to burning the same amount of calories each day. So, if you go on a starving diet and drop your calories intake to 1, 500 calories each day, your metabolism will also adjust to burning just that amount of calories each day
This is why your dieting program does not work for you, and why you can starve at 1000 calories per day and lose no weight while someone else who consumes 3, 500 each day does not gain any weight at all.
You can bare out what I am telling you by the fact that even though virtually everybody nowadays buys mostly "low fat" or "non fat" food, everybody is consciously mindful of the "fat grams" content of the food they buy, overweight and obesity scourge is on a steady rise in the world. The United States is notorious for both wrongful eating and overweight.
So dear friend, the ridiculous low carb and low calories diet that have been popularized by weight loss firms are not of any benefit to you, they are just starvation regimen that are not worth their prices. There are more overweight and obese people in the United States today than was the case a decade ago.
